The chemicals sector makes an important contribution to the economic development and strength of the Netherlands. South Limburg is at the forefront of innovative process technology and life and material sciences. Chemelot Innovation and Learning Labs (CHILL) has a clear task within this: we provide an innovative learning, working and research environment in which the education sector (from vocational training to university level) and businesses (from SMEs to multinationals) collaborate in developing knowledge and new products. We ensure that a sufficient number of extremely well educated people become available for the sector and we help to raise the profile of the modern chemicals industry and the part it plays in ensuring a good quality of life.
