HAN Biocentre: Centre of Biotechnology & Analysis

Many companies are looking for “cleaner” production methods. By doing so, they are contributing to the biobased economy: an economy that is based on the most efficient use possible of crops and biomass for food, materials, chemicals, energy and fuel. The HAN University of Applied Sciences is focusing on these biobased developments through biodiscovery. The HAN BioCentre conducts biodiscovery research and encourages innovation in collaboration with and on behalf of industry, and helps to produce more and better-trained graduates who can start work straight away in biotechnology companies in sectors such as the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in agriculture and horticulture.
